Overview

Might suit you if…

  • Your main goal is fine lines and tone: it has red and near-infrared light, the most studied pairing.
  • You get breakouts: it includes blue light.
  • You want eye protection: eye protection is in the box.
  • Your budget is under £200: lowest checked UK price £99.99.
  • You want longer cover: a 2-year warranty.

Might not suit you if…

  • You've been advised to avoid blue light: it has a blue mode, so check you can use red on its own.
  • You like to read press reviews first: none yet.

Worked out from the facts on this page, not a recommendation. Everyone's skin and routine are different.

What stands out

  • Publishes a light-output figure (18 of 24 do), but not how it was measured.
  • Sessions of 10 minutes; across the directory, sessions run from 3 to 30 minutes.
  • 24-month warranty; 19 of 24 masks here offer 24 months or more.

What isn't disclosed

  • How output was measured
  • Safety standards declared
  • Published study of this device

9 of 12 key facts published. Measures disclosure, not safety, quality or effectiveness.

Where sources disagree

  • Brand data page: 48.8–94.9 mW/cm² across the four modes. Amazon UK listing text: 62–129 mW/cm².
  • Brand data page: 29.3–56.9 J/cm² (consistent with its own irradiance × 10 min). Amazon UK listing text: 44–77 J/cm².
  • Which colours each mode uses: the data page lists 415, 633 and 830 nm for every mode. The product page says Target is blue + near-infrared with no red, and Recovery is mostly near-infrared with a little red. The manual describes Target as blue light only and calls mode 3 'Near-infrared' in its Modes section (but 'Recovery' in its how-to steps).

Before you buy

  • Read Stylpro's list of who shouldn't use it (9 warnings), in the Safety section.
  • Returns: FAQ: cancel within 30 days of receipt for brand-site purchases.
  • 15 questions we've asked Stylpro are still unanswered (see Open questions).

Common questions

Answered from this mask's research record and the rest of our directory, with where each answer comes from. Not recommendations.

Is the Stylpro Wavelength FDA cleared?

We found no FDA clearance for this mask, and Stylpro doesn't claim one. FDA clearance is a US status; masks don't need it to be sold in the UK.

Not disclosed

Is it registered as a medical device in the UK?

We searched the MHRA's public register of medical devices and found no listing for it. Of the 24 masks in our directory, one is on the register.

Independently verified

How long is a session, and how often should I use it?

Each session lasts 10 minutes.

How often: no more than once a day.

Across the 24 masks we list, the typical session is 10 minutes.

Manufacturer-stated

How long does the battery last, and how long does it take to charge?

It has a built-in rechargeable battery. StylPro doesn't say how many sessions a charge gives.

It takes about 5 hours to charge fully, according to Stylpro.

Sources disagree. Manual: 5 hours. The Sun (owner-supplied notes, not read by us): 4.5 hours.

You can't use it while it's charging.

You can't replace the battery yourself, so battery life and the warranty set how long the mask lasts.

Manufacturer-stated

Does it come with eye protection?

Yes. Two silicone eye pads come in the box and fit into the mask's eye holes.

Manufacturer-stated Eye protection on every mask →

Do I need an app or a subscription?

No. It runs without an app.

Manufacturer-stated

How much does it cost per session?

At the lowest UK price we've checked (£99.99), used 3 times a week, it works out at 64p a session over the first year (£99.99 ÷ 156 sessions). If it lasts three years, that falls to 21p.

Charging costs less than 0.1p a session at 26.32p per kWh (Ofgem price cap, 1 October to 31 December 2026).

Across the 23 masks with a checked UK price, the typical figure is £1.96 a session over the first year. It's a price comparison, not a measure of value.

Calculated by Luma Index Running costs for every mask →

What light does it use, and does it include blue light?

Stylpro lists red (633 nm), near-infrared (830 nm) and blue (415 nm).

It uses blue light. Some dermatologists advise caution with blue light on darker skin that marks easily; our wavelengths guide explains why.

Manufacturer-stated Wavelengths explained →

How strong is the light?

Stylpro gives 48.8–94.9 mW/cm² depending on the mode. It doesn't fully say how this was measured, so figures from different brands may not be comparable.

Sources disagree. Brand data page: 48.8–94.9 mW/cm² across the four modes. Amazon UK listing text: 62–129 mW/cm².

18 of the 24 masks in our directory publish a light output figure. Across them, published figures run from 6.1 to 143 mW/cm². A higher figure isn't automatically better: dose and session length matter too.

Conflicting information What light output means →

Who shouldn't use it?

Stylpro's warnings on who shouldn't use it, or should check with a doctor first:

  • Epilepsy, photophobia or light sensitivity.
  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding.
  • Skin cancer in the last 12 months; tumours or cancer patients.
  • Facial plastic surgery (unless under medical supervision).
  • Skeletal reconstruction or titanium implant.
  • Cardiac pacemaker or similar.
  • Sensitive, irritated, broken, swollen or sunburnt skin, or other skin conditions.
  • Children (adults only).
  • Use with care during the menstrual cycle.

Age: adults only.

This is the manufacturer's list, not medical advice. If you have a health condition or take medication, ask your GP or pharmacist.

Manufacturer-stated Are LED masks safe? →

Is there a study of this exact mask?

We haven't found a published study of this exact mask. Studies of LED light in general don't tell you how this mask performs.

Research and evidence →

What warranty and returns do I get?

Stylpro gives a 2-year warranty.

If you buy from StylPro's website, its FAQ says you can cancel within 30 days of receiving it, with a free prepaid label. Used masks can't be returned unless faulty.

Sources disagree. Product page: '14 Day Return Window*'. FAQ: 30 days to cancel, free pre-paid label. Refund policy page: seven working days, customer pays return postage.

Whatever the warranty says, your rights for a faulty product under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are against the retailer you bought it from.

Conflicting information Warranty on every mask →

Where do Stylpro's sources disagree?

Sources give different answers on 7 points: light output, dose, which colours each mode uses, charge time, model number, returns and delivery time. Each one is shown next to the fact it affects, with both sources, so you can check them before you buy.

Brand 'Wavelength LED Mask Data' page (calls it 'third party data' without naming who measured): Anti-Ageing 94.9, Target 68.1, Recovery 48.8, Balance 77.6 mW/cm². Measurement distance, location, instrument and whether per band or combined are NOT disclosed. The Amazon UK listing text gives 'Power output: 62 mW/cm2 - 129 mW/cm2', which does not match — see conflicts. The 94.9 figure also appears, as manufacturer-stated, in a Dr Caroline Warden clinic article (lead only; not read by us).

Brand column 'Fleunce(J/cm2)' [sic]. Luma Index check (irradiance × 600 s): 56.9, 40.9, 29.3, 46.6 J/cm² — all four agree with the stated figures to within 0.1. The Amazon UK listing text gives 'Energy density: 44 J/cm2 - 77 J/cm2', which does not match — see conflicts.

UKCA Not disclosed
Details

No UKCA wording on the product page or in the manual. The manual has a 'CE MARKING: UK/EU – DECLARATION OF CONFORMITY' statement from STYLIDEAS LTD (Loughton, Essex) saying the product meets 'the essential requirements and other relevant provisions', without naming which regulations; a copy of the declaration is 'available on request'. We haven't seen the physical label.

UK
Device classification: Brand says it is not a medical device Manufacturer-stated
Details

Manual: 'This is not a medical product or a medical device.' and calls its products 'low-risk, general wellness / fitness products that do not require medical clearance'. The product page still describes the Recovery mode with wound-healing language (see claims).

UK
MHRA device registration: Not found (no device or manufacturer listing under the brand or company name) Independently verified
Details

Brand-level PARD search for Stylpro and STYLIDEAS on 2 Nov 2026 (done for the Wavelength Pro 5-in-1 record; it covers this product too). A maker may be registered under another company name, so 'not found' isn't proof of absence. Registration is required only for products sold for a medical purpose; it isn't an approval. The brand says this is not a medical device.

US
FDA 510(k) clearance Not disclosed

openFDA 510(k) searches for applicant 'stylideas' and device name 'stylpro' returned no matches; a 'wavelength' + 'LED' device-name search found only K260598 (iSMART Developments, '5 Wavelength LED Facemask'), which is unrelated. GUDID has nothing under GTIN 05060288332625 and the registration database has nothing under 'stylideas'. No FDA claim made by the brand. US status only.

A conformity mark or US FDA clearance doesn't prove a device works. "Not published" doesn't mean unsafe. If you have a medical condition, are pregnant or take light-sensitising medicines, ask your GP or pharmacist first.
