Luma Index is run by Richard P (see About). We collect as little as we can. There are no accounts, no sign-up forms and no advertising trackers on this site.

When you visit the site

• Hosting: the site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare handles your IP address and browser details to deliver pages and protect the site from attacks. We don't receive or keep these.
• Visitor counts: we use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. It doesn't use cookies and doesn't identify you.
• Fonts and images load from our own site, not from other companies.
• Your compare list is saved in your own browser (local storage) so it's still there next time. It never leaves your device. Clear your browser's site data to remove it.

We don't set cookies.

When you click a link to a shop

Some retailer links are affiliate links, including links to Amazon.co.uk. Once you're on the retailer's site, its own privacy policy and cookies apply. Amazon uses a cookie to record that you came from us, so we may earn a commission. We don't see who you are or what you buy. See our affiliate disclosure.

When you email us

• Email to [email protected] is passed on by Cloudflare and kept in a Google Gmail inbox.
• Our replies are sent through Brevo, an email service. Brevo may add links and a small image that tell it whether an email was opened or a link clicked. We don't use this to profile anyone.
• We use what you send only to reply, and to correct or update the site if that's what you asked. We keep emails for as long as they're useful for that, then delete them.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask what we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. Email [email protected]. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
